Compact, wireless and user-friendly, HP Deskjet printers can produce high quality documents and photos at the touch of a button. If you need a versatile, reliable and affordable home printer for everyday use, they’re a great choice.
What is a Deskjet printer?
Deskjet printers are HP’s range of affordable yet quality inkjet printers. They’re perfect for everyday family printing and especially good at producing vibrant photos with deep blacks and rich colours. HP Deskjet printers come in a variety of colours, sizes, and types (including all-in-one printers), with different ink supply options.
Compatible ink for Deskjet printers
Not all HP Deskjet printers use the same ink cartridges. Find out which cartridges your printer model takes on the HP website. Some HP Deskjet printers also include an Instant Ink subscription.
Never run out with Instant Ink
If an Instant Ink subscription is included with your printer, you get ink or toner delivered whenever you’re running low. So, you’ll never run out of inks at inconvenient moments ever again!
To clean your Deskjet printer heads, go to the HP printer software on your computer. Find ‘Settings’ or ‘Tools’, then select ‘Clean Printheads’ or similar. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions and the printer heads will be given a good, through cleaning. If you still have issues, try using distilled water on a lint-free cloth and gently (gently!) wipe the printheads. Before you do this, refer to your printer manual for specific instructions.
Connecting an HP Deskjet printer to Wi-Fi is a simple process, but it does vary by model. Head to the HP printer setup page, enter your model number, and you’ll be taken through the exact steps needed to get printing wirelessly. It’s usually something like this:
Press the ‘wireless’ button on your HP Deskjet printer.
Go to the ‘wireless’ setting on the printer display.
Select ‘Wi-Fi’ network and enter your Wi-Fi password.
