If you’re crowned Home Barista of the Year, you’ll receive the new Sage The Barista Express™ Impress Coffee Machine with which you can hone your skills and become a true coffee master.
Sage The Barista Express™ Impress Coffee Machine
A Sage The Barista Express™ Impress Coffee Machine will transform your coffee-making. The new Impress™ puck system learns how much coffee you like to brew and measures the exact dose of ground espresso for your filter basket. With the espresso grinds perfectly centered in the filter basket, the Assisted Tamping allows you to apply 10KG of pressure, so you get an even extraction and a coffee bursting with flavour. Your coffee will always be at the correct temperature thanks to the Thermocoil heating system which delivers waters of exactly 93 to the ground coffee and 9 bars of pressure to give the perfect drip and a rich taste. It has a 2 litre water tank, so you have plenty of water to get you through your day of coffee drinking. If you like a creamy coffee, it has a high-pressure manual steam wand to create deliciously foamy milk.
How do I enter the Home Barista of the Year competition?
To be in with the chance to win and be crowned Ireland’s Home Barista of the Year, simply post a photo or video of your best coffee serve to your Instagram or Twitter feed using #HomeBaristaoftheYear. You can enter as many times as you want to, just make sure to show off your creativity and use the correct hashtag. Your entry will be added to our online coffee wall, and you’ll be officially entered! You have until midnight on the 25th of October to get your entry in.
What are the prizes?
For the overall winner, the prize is a €2,000 Currys voucher and a Sage The Barista Express™ Impress Coffee Machine. Our second-place prize is a €1,000 Currys voucher and a Sage The Bambino Plus Coffee Machine and Grinder. Finally, our third-place prize is a €500 Currys voucher and a Sage The Bambino Plus Coffee Machine.
