Are you panicking about your festival packing list? While we can’t help with your festival outfits, we’ve got you covered for your festival tech. Festival season has officially kicked off and the summer is just beginning. Rambling around a field, enjoying music, catching up with friends, really is the perfect way to spend (hopefully) sunny summer weekends.

Here are some of our essential pieces of festival tech…

An Air Mattress

If you are tipping 30 or older, trust us. An air mattress is the only way your back is going to survive 2+ nights on the cold, hard ground. Whether you’re in general camping or glamping, an air mattress is a brilliant investment. Often there are even stations where you can get your mattress blown up for free so it’s minimal effort for maximum comfort. The Bestway Air Mattress is super affordable, only weighs 2.3kg and comes with a built-in foot pump so you can top up the air over the weekend. It has a traditional coil beam construction so it gives support as you move and has a built-in pillow for added comfort.

Sleep Earbuds

This is for the light sleepers. Festivals are loud and campsites can be just as loud. The Anker Soundcore Sleep A20 Earbuds will be a gift from the heavens to help you get a restorative few hours of sleep before starting all over again. With a 4-point noise masking they’ll block out unwanted noises and their ultra-soft material with a 3D ergonomic shape makes them comfortable for even side sleepers. In Bluetooth mode, you can stream music or podcasts from your phone, or in Sleep Mode you can choose from built-in soothing soundscapes to lull you to sleep and block out the world.

A Camera

In the age of the smartphone, having an actual camera on hand is almost novel. The Instax Mini 41 Instant Camera is a great way to capture the best moments from your day whether it’s a fit check with the girls, a messy group photo or a snap of your favourite act. It’s small enough to fit in any bag and, using AA batteries (included), you’ll get roughly 100 snaps before you need new batteries.

A Power Bank

Charging stations at festivals sound like a great idea until you’re stuck in a queue waiting for one to free up. Get a slim portable charger that will fit in a bag or a pocket so you can easily top up your phone when you’re running low. The Belkin 10000 mAh Portable Power Bank will give you up to 4 charges and can charge up to 3 devices at once. It has two USB and one USB-C port – ideal for a quick charge.

A Speaker

If you’re having a few drinks or a little bit of downtime at the campsite, a portable Bluetooth speaker is an essential. The JBL Go Essential 2 is perfect as it’s small but packs a punch, weighs less than 200g and has approx. 5hrs of playtime. It’s IP67 waterproof and dustproof so it’s safe from any little spills.

An LED Mirror

Make sure you’re looking fresh by having your own mirror on hand. The SENSSE Glow Up SNMI05 LED Mirror is lightweight and foldable so it won’t take up much space in your bag or tent. It has an LED light around the mirror with three different temperatures to help you achieve the perfect look.

Item Finder

This is a game changer. Do you find it impossible to locate your tent at the end of the day? Or worse, trying to find your car in a sea of cars at the end of the weekend? The Chipolo CH-C19M-BK-R ONE Bluetooth Item Finder is here to save your sanity. Place it where you’ll need it most and you can use the Chipolo app to track your way back. Its Bluetooth range is about 60m and it has a battery that lasts for two years. Not using it to find things? You can use it as a wireless shutter for your phone’s camera!
