When is Mother’s Day?
Mother’s Day in Ireland falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, so the date changes every 12 months. This year, it's set for 15 March. It’s a big spring celebration dedicated to thanking mums and motherly figures with thoughtful gestures, meaningful gifts and some quality time.
What is Mothering Sunday?
Mothering Sunday is the Ireland's traditional celebration of honouring mums. It comes from the 16th‑century practice of visiting one’s "mother church". This then evolved into the Mother’s Day we know today, an occasion to show mum some love with thoughtful gifts and shared moments.
