A well rounded lens, composed of both aspherical and extra low dispersion elements, the H-FS14140E gives you great photographic results and is ideal for a wide range of applications, covering the 35 mm equivalent of 28 – 280 mm.

POWER OIS gives you effective compensation against camera shake and distortion as you shoot, minimising blurring letting you shoot at a slower shutter speed and in darker conditions.

The G7 lets you enjoy full manual control over all of your exposure settings so you can compose the images that you want with ease, adjusting shutter speed, white balance, ISO and aperture to creative effect.

As well as the easy to navigate menus, the G7 gives you the choice to shoot using the 1040k vari-angle touchscreen to position the camera at new and exciting angles that lend a new perspective to your photos, or a high speed OLED electronic viewfinder, making it easier to shoot accurately, even in bright conditions.

Using the EVF gives you greater battery life and also makes it easier to see a true representation of how your images will appear, with a wider field of view and superior colour reproduction with 2,360k dots, which is almost 1 million more than its predecessor, the G6.

Rapid response AF

Shoot reactively with the G7 that benefits from a contrast AF system, meaning all of the light that passes through the lens can be used for autofocus detection. This gives you much better performance even in dimly lit environments whilst still maintaining the ability to autofocus on your subjects.

Another new feature of the G7 is the Starlight AF which takes the same mechanics and applies it to much smaller AF zone which lets you shoot a star in the night sky with autofocus using accurate calculations of its contrast value, resulting in great night-time photographs.
