This ultra wide-angle zoom lens offers excellent optical performance and versatility. Offering extremely sharp images with very little distortion, the EF 16-35 mm is perfectly suited to landscapes, architecture, photo journalism, travel and more.
With a constant f/4 maximum aperture at all focal lengths the EF 16-35 mm can be used for shooting in a wide range of light conditions. Staying constant over the full focal-length range, there's no need to adjust shutter speed or ISO when zooming.

Shot sharp with Canon's four-stop Image Stabiliser (IS) technology, delivering steady shots in all situations, including low light. IS also provides steady, blur free video recording, great for handheld shooting.
Focusing is fast and virtually silent thanks to the ring-type ultrasonic motor (USM), ideal when shooting in quiet environments or video recording.
Smooth and sharp shooting
A 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm offers a beautifully smooth blurred background to make your foreground subjects stand out more sharply.
Three aspherical elements ensure sharpness and clarity right into full frame corners throughout the focal range. Chromatic aberration is virtually eliminated thanks to two Ultra Low Dispersion (UD) elements.
Professional construction
A Super Spectra coating delivers accurate colour balance and enhanced contrast, while also helping to reduce ghosting and flare. Fluorine coatings on the front and rear elements offer resistance to dust and water droplets for optimum image quality.
The non-rotating front element allows you easily attach filters such as a polarizing filter for your landscape photography.
