Terms and Conditions
We’ve tried to keep our Terms and Conditions as clear as possible, and give you all the information we can (but not too much) about your online transactions so that you completely understand the whole process, from order to delivery and beyond. It’s really important to us that your online shopping experience meets expectations, so please spend a few minutes and read on. You’ll need to accept our T’s & C’s every time you make a purchase – they might change from time to time, so do check the date at the top of the page. Please note that different terms (including prices, charges for services, availability, delivery times and returns policies) apply to purchases made in one of our stores.
Our contract after you have ordered
Firstly, don’t panic if you make any mistakes during your order, you can correct any input errors right up until you confirm payment.
Once you’re happy everything is correct and you’ve submitted an order you’ll be given an Order Reference Number and details of the products (and/or services) you have ordered. You’ll then receive an email headed ‘Order Acknowledgement’ recognising receipt of your order. We will then send a further email headed ‘Order Confirmation’ and this is when our contract with you begins. This second email also lets you know how your products will be delivered to you. If we have to cancel all or part of your order for any reason, we will email you to let you know.
Sometimes we have to hold our hands up and admit we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered). In this instance we may have to cancel your order at any time up to the point we send you the product(s), even if you have received your Order Confirmation email, and you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.
Restrictions - Age Requirements and Limits on Orders
Some of our products have a minimum age requirement (computer games for example), and by ordering you are confirming that you are of the required age.
Returns, Cancellations & Faulty Goods...
How do I return a product after delivery?
If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 21 days after delivery.
Following the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them. You are entitled to a refund as long as you inform us of your decision to cancel within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery of the goods. The goods must in an ‘as new’ condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories and free gifts received with them. You can examine the goods as you would in a shop but you must not have used or installed them or input any data on them. Whilst the goods are in your possession you must take reasonable care of them. DVDs, CDs, memory cards and software discs must still be sealed. If you want to return a Software Product Activation Key card which is not faulty, the silver strip on the back of the card must be fully intact as new.
When returning opened products back to us, you should do so without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate to us your decision to cancel.
There are two ways to refund your purchase
• You can return the product to one of our stores with your receipt, bringing the card you paid with, so we can credit it.
• You can send the product back to us. You must first email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting your order number and informing us of your decision to cancel. We can then make arrangements for the return of the product.
If you wish, you may use the cancellation form found here but it is not obligatory.
Once we have received the goods back from you, we will give you a refund for the cost of the product and the delivery charge paid. We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is a result of any unnecessary handling by you.
If you have requested we begin the performance of any service, such as installation of a product, within the 14 day cancellation period we have the right to retain any charge paid for services which have already begun or been completed.
Refunds take 3-5 working days to be credited to your payment card.
We cannot refund/cancel your purchase:
• If you return your product to a store without proof of purchase
• There is a contract for services with the product and you have started using the services; this would include, for example, a mobile phone subscription
• The seal has been broken on any DVDs, CDs, memory cards or software, including games, or on any personal hygiene products such as shavers
• The goods were a special order to your specification
How do I cancel an order before delivery?
Should you wish to cancel your order before delivery please email us at email@example.com and we will arrange.
What happens if my product arrives damaged?
We want you to be absolutely satisfied with your product and would recommend that, where practicable, you unpack and check it for damage as soon as it arrives. If you receive a damaged product please contact us as soon as the damage is discovered via by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange a free of charge collection and either a refund or replacement product.
We do ask that you do not use the product for your own safety.

• You have read the troubleshooting section of the manual as it may be a common fault that can be easily resolved
• For PC’s and other digital entertainment please visit the knowledge bank at knowhow.com for additional expert support, driver downloads, manuals and advice.
Should you not be able to resolve the problem either take the product to your local Currys PC World store along with your receipt or email us at email@example.com

Please note that we may ask to inspect the goods to confirm the fault or ask you to carry out a telephone diagnostic to make sure it is not a problem that can be resolved quickly.

Electrical products are brilliant when they’re working, but getting rid of your old one can be problematic. Maybe you're aware, or maybe not, that Ireland is one of the best recyclers of electrical appliances in Europe. Under Ireland's application of the European WEEE directive, retailers are obliged to accept old products on a one for one basis when consumers are purchasing new electrical appliances. When a new appliance is being delivered, retailers are again obliged to take away and arrange the recycling of the old appliance. We're delighted to play our part in this.
If you have any piece of electrical equipment you want to recycle, you can either:
• Bring your old product into any of our Currys PC World stores
• We can collect and recycle your old TV (when you buy a TV of 32” or above) or large domestic appliance for free when you have your new product delivered by our home delivery service.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are recycling a product that holds personal data (i.e. PC, Laptop, Mobile Phone, etc.) you will need to have removed the information from your old product prior to us receiving it as we will not carry out any data removal.
